on my way back from gurun i had plenty of time to kill. i take a glance at my laptop of some movies that i havent watch. one of them is laskar pelangi. its a lovely inspiring story with great cinemotography. a bit slow though and run two hours but that is expected. its about the importance of education. the imprtancr of giving more and ecpect less n the nvr give up spirit. pelangi here is a manifestation of dreams. laskar is the soldier. the one who fericiously fight for it.
The official song by Nidji is also great, it sums out almost everything from the movie.
Now I feel like goint to pulau belitung man..
And poor lintang, hes a genius but had to stop studying and giving up his future due to the demise of his father. Althought he did quit, his inspiration lives in and influence ikal - who get a scholarship to continue his education to Paris.
And lintang reminds me of my fathers. He use to cycle about 20km from Pulau Chapa to Pulau Nyior, something I wanted to try someday. Its far even by car.
