Last post

I'm going to close this chapter of my life soon. Thus I'm stopping here and starting over from scratch. As long as I remember, this blog starts on 26 June 2009, after I got back from JB to start over in KL. It chronicles my struggle and joy in the process of finding a job. With the help of god, I finally got a job that I never applied. I work there for 2 years and a half - the longest in my career history. Now that I'm grown old, tired and mundane, I need to start over.  I had some plans in mind which I will write on the new blog.

Some recent news

1. My lil.bro got straight as for spm. 6 a plus and 3 a - for bio, chem and english. I think hes a genius man. Me and my 2 bro also get decent results but we are from the arts stream. He nailed the science stream and I hope he got decent scholarship to pursue his study overseas. The only problem is he doesnt dream big. When he was a kid he just want to be a bus driver. Now he wanted to pursue education in bio chemical in local university and plan to become a teacher. Maybe hes a realist I guess.

2. I sold my 5 month old laptop to my bro Rabbani for RM900. Install windows 32 bit back. We had Charkuehtiaw. Now I had to repurpose my small netbook as the bedroom/leisure computer with the help of thr 19" monitor. Damn its frickin slow. Even cannot play youtube videos smoothly as low quality.

 3. Im addicted to.draw something. I love the story behind the success of the game. In the era of social media and crowd funding nowadays - anyone with a great idea/talent is deserved to get a viral exposure for free. No need for a publisher/big production house/investor anymore

But I had to sell my iMac and was working on my MacBook White Mid 2010. I'm a webdesigner and I work a lot with Photoshop and different browsers and coding apps (like Coda or TextWrangler) and have many many tabs opened at the same time. My MacBook was always slow for me and I decided to buy a Mac. Then I heard from a friend of this community, that you can run OS X on pc hardware. I am reading at tonymacx86 since November 2011 and I've read a lot of topics here. I found Gordo's build topic and he had almost the same hardware like I wanted to buy, so this was a big help for me I bought my parts all here in Vienna (Austria). I payed for the i7-2600 100€ (private, normal price here is 260€, 10€ for the NZXT Guardian 921 case (from a friend) and the rest from my local computer shop. In December I bought a Powermac G5 case from eBay, but I had/have no time actually to mod it, but the time will come and I'll make my G5 mod and show it to you guys Bought also the WD Caviar Blue private for 40€ When I decided to build a hackintosh, one thing was clear: It has to have SSD RAID-0 ! neilhart's tutorial was very helpful, thank you again I've downloaded lastest version of UniBeast from Downloads section and followed tony's awesome guide. The installation was easy and after the installation, I downloaded the DSDT for my motherboard from DSDT Database, MultiBeast and choosed the exact same options like Gordo (http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=168&t=32306). Everything worked OOB and I had no problems. MultiBeast for Lion After that, I used neilhart's tutorial to put my SSDs in RAID-0 (http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=168&t=36722). My first try run without problems, then I thought my SSDs are too slow and deleted it. I tried like 2 days to get my SSD RAID again to work , but always got "mach_kernel" after rebooting. Yeah, after 2 days I found the solution like I described here (http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?p=323548#p323548). After everything was working well, I took out my SSDs and put my WD HDD in, to install Windows. After windows was installed with all actual drivers, I put my SSDs back and ordered the boot priority in BIOS. I installed Battlefield 3 and NFS The Run on windows and finished them in the last 2 days What can I say? I LOVE MY HACKINTOSH, it runs smoothly, quiet and really fast Working with Photoshop, iTunes, Mail, 4 Browsers with each 15 tabs is like I want to use 20-30% of the power of this machine Now I need some time to work on my G5 case and I wanna make it to look almost original, more to come My fans are really low noise (Silent Wings @500-800rpm PWM, cpu_fan and sys_fan2 and Noctua CPU fans with Ultra Low Noise Adapters on sys_fan1 connected) and I have between 33° and 40° in idle in OS X, max 65°C on CPU at 1h Prime95 or 3 hours gaming. GPU gets almost 70°C when gaming and I can hear the fan after 50% fan speed, below, you can't hear the GPU out of the case I want to thank to the hole community and of course Tony and his team! Burn iboot terbaru.. berjaya install snow leopard. Tapi kena kernel panic pass apply multibeast kat 500gb tupaitv pc sebelum ni
search forum.. katanya xboleh buat repair install pakai hackintosh.. kna fresh install..
so buat fresh install (lembap - xleh install pakai usb .. kna pakai internal drive yg nyawa2ikan).
so fresh install kat 1.5gb wd green. partition install kna kurang dari 1tb.  Tapi fail juga kuar error boot0:fail.. rupanya wd green kna hack skit sbb firmwarenya x compatible....
install lagi kali ni tak buat apa2.. just pakai utk migrate data.. jeng jeng jeng...
problem... idvd takleh run.. hampeh.. dia x mau import any file... sua gua buat fresh install... masih tak berjaya gak.. last2 install je satu lagi snow leopard kat pc lama. then run dari situ idvd.. cuma kna pre compress sblm running kat situ.

Shooting kat tasik subang + imac g4

our last shoot before we plump into 2 month hiatus :).. we shoot last week couple at tasik subang with crazy photographer kerjagilasimoll. thank god its not raining.. otherwise we not gonna postphone it again.. cute young couple with minang style baju and they bring their cute and crazy sister too..

then mlm gi mkn kt rmh farid.. cannot make it petang msa bday anak dia.. kna laksa,rendang n sembang2. 

back from the shooting i met my old pal areza. he gave me a junk. an old imac g4 lampu .. used to cost about 4k during launch.. now i got it for free nearly 10 yrs later. Spec is 700mhz power pc g4 with 40gb hd and 128 mb ram.  No cables though, and its heavyyy!!!

The next day i try to power it up using normal laptop cable and usb mouse and keyboard. It works!! theres a problem though. I saw that there is a user password. Luckily i have uncle google with me. I use it to learn how to reset password in single user mode using command line.

Now i'm thinking what should be done with this mac... currently it runs 10.1.4 puma.. I need to add some ram before I can run tiger on it.

JB wedding

Its been a while since the last time i visit JB. I'm here to shoot a wedding for a friend's sister. We start our journey early in the morning, arrived JB at about 2. check in at hotel seri malaysia JB near the stadium and then had nasi padang at benafe (pricey with tax sumore, no ayam penyet yet) then we crash to rest. We went to the brides home at 6. lepak minum dgn abang dia dulu. then setu up our equipment. the house is quite big but the relatives from the groom's side pn ramai. and the budak2 are very happening n nakal. hehe.. meriah .. shoot shoot shoot.. jam with kolestrol studio, fird and fatah.

fird use sony with a unique setup that involves bracket , pop up flash with diffuser adn gary fong balloon. he use one lens. fat use canon 50d with 10-20 most of the time. and change to 50mm for potraits. we done shooting at 1.30 am. went to nasi goreng seafood and grab a bite of the best nasi goreng ever. Then we crash

the next day we start shooting at about 11. the dewan is kinda spacey. i met my old fren mike .. anak dia dah besar.. comel lak tu. then nak gi outdoork kt tmn warisan. (tmn kt depan dan x boleh masuk sultan baru x bg jogging). tamn warisan is jammed pack with ppl and its raining. thus we had to do the outdoor session next week  .. we promise to do it in Kl.. then we balik kl..esok cuti wuhuhuh
