2.3.4 android and laptop at my old audit office

I finally upgraded my stock froyo to gingerbread using odin. I gave up playing good guy by adhering to samsung ways of work. Problem is Kies cant fkn detect my phone thus rendering any possible update useless. Using odin is easy.. better than sending my phone to samsung center. I initially had problem because I flash a polish 2.3.5 rom but after flashing a correct asian 2.3.4 rom it works like a breeze. Its faster and the battery last a bit longer. I also dont loose any of my apps and data during the upgrade. The only problem is that I lost all my caller ID thus I had to wait for people to call and save their contact again. In my opinion android as and ecosystem is a mess.. but the advantages outweight the weaknesesses. I pick it up over apple wall garden system anytime. I still hope that Iphone 5 would be a better and I might pick one. 4s improvement is abysmal and not really a worthy upgrade.
